About The Well School Alliance

Our Story

The Well School Alliance was founded by Bianca Chappell, an education and wellbeing specialist with over a decade of experience supporting children, young people, and school communities to flourish.

With a background spanning education leadership, pastoral care, and child mental health, Bianca recognised a growing need for schools to embed wellbeing not as an add-on, but as the foundation of effective learning and leadership.

The Well School Alliance was created to bridge the gap between education and mental health — offering a structured, evidence-informed approach to whole-school wellbeing that meets both the human and strategic needs of schools today.

Our Mission

To empower schools and communities to build emotionally intelligent, wellbeing-led environments where young people thrive — academically, socially, and emotionally.

We believe that wellbeing isn’t a single intervention; it’s a culture. Through consultancy, training, and collaboration, we support schools to turn wellbeing from a buzzword into a measurable, sustainable practice aligned with Ofsted’s Personal Development and Leadership standards.

Our Approach

Our work combines strategic insight with compassionate delivery. Every school and community is unique, so we start by listening, understanding context, and co-creating tailored wellbeing solutions that last.

Whether it’s developing leadership capacity, designing a wellbeing strategy, or delivering student and staff programmes, The Well School Alliance partners with schools to build systems that protect and promote mental health for all.

About Bianca Chappell

Director of Wellbeing & Education Strategy

Bianca’s career in education spans senior leadership, pastoral management, and alternative education in both the UK and the US. Her expertise in child and adolescent mental health, combined with her passion for inclusive learning, has made her a trusted voice in the field of wellbeing and emotional education.

Through The Well School Alliance, Bianca brings together her experience from education, mental health, and the third sector to create practical, values-driven solutions that make a lasting impact.

She continues to work alongside school leaders, trusts, and community partners who share one vision — that every child deserves to learn and grow in an environment where they feel safe, seen, and supported.

Our Vision

A national alliance of schools leading with wellbeing — where emotional intelligence sits at the heart of leadership, teaching, and learning.

Here’s the final section to close the page cleanly and drive connection — it keeps your tone professional but approachable.
